4th Annual Mad City Mardi Gras Zoo Benefit
February 19, 2012
We are so lucky here in the Madison area to have the
Henry Vilas Zoo, which is one of the very few no-admission,
free parking AZA accredited zoos in the United States. It's an
incredible asset, which opened its first animal exhibits 100
years ago this summer.

Over
the years it has continued to improve and add to the exhibits,
thanks to the generous contributions of enthusiastic supporters.
Its charter requires that it can never charge for admission, so
it truly is dependent on charitable contributions to survive and
grow.
We've always loved the zoo, and having Lily and Charlie have
made us see the zoo through their eyes of wonder. It's their
favorite place to go (except for Liliana's, of course).
We created the Annual Mad City Mardi Gras as our big fund raiser
of the year to help make sure it's around for generations to
come, and we hope to help raise another $5,000 this year.
You can help!
Share this page on Facebook and twitter, and let your friends
know about this. Even if you can't join us or bid on any of the
great auction items, make sure you spread the word!
The morning and early afternoon focuses on kids, and we'll have
balloon makers and magicians and lots of fun entertainment for
kids of all ages.
As the day moves into evening, it's time for the adults to take
over and listen to some great music while enjoying special
cocktails and food.
Please join us, and
remember to help us get the word out
through phone calls, emails, Facebook, twitter, and anything
else you can think of. We want to be able to raise as
much as we can to help the zoo.
